Ohio District Committees
The Ohio District Board is comprised of several working committees headed by members of the District Board.
2nd Quarter Ohio District Committee Objectives:
District Service Project:
- Continue to promote DSP with flyers and announcements
- Create a report form for clubs to report service hours towards DSP
- Set the minimum requirements to get the DSP patch
- Send articles to the Buckeye Key regarding to DSP
- Find clubs with inspirational DSP projects
Administrative Structure:
- Use surveys to find what information needs to be more accessable to clubs.
Public Relations:
- Create a video to be shown at Fall Rally and DCON that promotes running for higher office
- Help the Historian publicize the DCON slideshow through flyers and announcements
Membership Development:
- Assist clubs in paying dues
- Find target Kiwanis Clubs without a sponsored Key Club and work to build club
- Create and distribute a flyer that shows the benefits of Key Club in Ohio
- Notify Suspended/Inactive clubs of status and ensure delinquent dues are paid
- Look for Club Development in Divisions 1, 5, and other smaller divisions
- Begin Divisional Fundraisers/Service Projects
ICON (International Convention):
- Create the Ohio District Tour for ICON 2011
- Promote ICON 2011 at Fall Rally and DCON
- Ensure that ICON attendance goals for 2011 are met
- Promote ICON by writing an article for the Buckeye Key
Fall Rally:
- Ensure a successful Fall Rally on November 7th, 2010
- Begin brainstorming ideas for the 2011 Fall Rally
- Begin the initial stages of planning for the 2011 Fall Rally
DCON (Ohio District Key Club Convention):
- Theme: Mission Possible (Secrect Agent)
- Operate all promotion of DCON
- Ensure that subcommittees are helped out by the remaining members of the board
- Schedule inspirational and interesting speakers during forums
- Operate all forums, events, registration, etc. of DCON
- Basically make DCON the best Ohio experience ever!
- More detailed guidelines to be set by Mrs. B!
Kiwanis Family:
- Write articles for K-Family publications
- Write Key Club Press Releases to K-Family
- Attend K-Family events
- Work with Membership Development Committee to find Kiwanis Clubs without sponsored Key Clubs
Executive:
- Watch over all other committees
- Do our duties as executives
- Make decisions on time sensitive issues
- Be "Guidance Counselors" to the District Board
- Work on Directory and Buckeye Key and be tougher on deadlines for our publications
- Have a conference call on an as needed basis
